01 — the ink library
Six drums.
We run them one at a time.
Riso ink is soy-based and it sits on the paper rather than soaking in, so a second pass does not cover the first — it multiplies with it. That is the whole trick, and it is why we sell passes.
02 — paper
Uncoated, always.
Coated stock rejects the ink.
Pick a stock above and the sheet changes under the ink — every overprint on this page is computed against the paper you chose, because that is what actually happens on the drum.
03 — what a run costs
Masters, then copies.
Longer runs get cheaper fast.
100 × A3, three passes on Munken Cream — three masters at $8.00 is $24.00, plus 100 × 3 passes × $0.17 × 1.9 for A3 is $96.90. $120.90, or $1.21 a copy. Past four passes registration gets hard; ring us first.

Send separations,
or send a drawing.
If you already have your layers split, send them as greyscale — one file per pass, 300dpi. If you do not, send the artwork and we will pull the separations for you and proof them before the run. Half up front, the rest on collection.
